Storyboard

Storyboard is the chapter’s shot-picture surface: ordered shots with frame, cast_refs, and caption bars for shot order and pacing—not the final edit. A chapter is unified horizontal or vertical; aspect presets cover landscape (21:9 … 1:1) and portrait (1:1 … 9:21). Each shot has default play seconds (~0.3–12; common 0.7 / 1.5 / 3). Caption bars overlay the frame and only reference script dialogue lines/segments—unlinked bars skip playback. Cast comes from the roster or the online cast library (dedupe: story+pack+person). Slideshow preview walks frame + cast_refs + caption bars; player rates 1x/2x/4x. Shares shot order with Rehearsal. Mac / OOSYS edit; Android / mini program mostly read-only preview.

Open a chapter → switch to Storyboard → pick orientation and aspect → add shots, shot numbers, frames → insert cast from roster or Storyboard cast library → link caption bars to script lines → set dwell seconds → preview in slideshow or Rehearsal.

What this page covers

This page is only Storyboard: shots, frames, and on-screen cast for one chapter, to lock order and pacing. It does not hold full script dialogue and is not the final edit. Caption bars only reference script lines; fine cut lives in the Editor; Rehearsal can trial shot order.

Steps

  1. Open a story, pick a chapter, switch to Storyboard.
  2. Set the chapter horizontal or vertical (unified), then pick aspect (landscape 21:9…1:1, portrait 1:1…9:21).
  3. Add shots, fill shot numbers, attach frames.
  4. Maintain lead/support on the roster; insert cast from the sidebar or Storyboard cast library (avatar / half / full front-back, transparent PNG).
  5. Download before importing an online pack; dedupe key is story+pack+person.
  6. Overlay caption bars and link them to script dialogue segments or lines; unlinked bars skip playback.
  7. Set default dwell seconds (~0.3–12; common 0.7 / 1.5 / 3); toggle cast name cards if needed.
  8. Preview with the slideshow (1x / 2x / 4x; dwell = seconds ÷ rate) or open Rehearsal for pacing.
  9. Fine cut and grade in Short video · Editor—do not treat the board as a timeline.
